Falco Novels in order

January 11, 2017 by bookworm

Marcus Didius Falco was born in March 41 CE into a plebian family, joined the army in 59 CE and served with the Second Augusta (Legio II Augusta, a legion subsequently disgraced) in Britain during the Boudiccan Revolt.

After being invalided out of the army, he set himself up as a Delator, a Private Informer, and a reluctant Imperial Agent.

Some of the best fictional detectives do their sleuthing in togas : in Falco’s case, a knee-length tunic.
